On Saturday, May 9, 2020, 9:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. Cardinale Enterprises and Laurita Winery will host the 4th Annual Play HOOK-e Take a Veteran Fishing Day at Lake Julianna Ponderosa Estate Farms, Millstone Township, NJ.  This year Mr. Cardinale expanded the Veteran Fishing Day to include veterans and active duty military from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.  Friends and family are welcome registration is mandatory.Members of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Shore Area Chapter 12 and Jersey Coast Anglers Association will support the event along with Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing and Boating Education and Rescue members.  This is always a fun time for our veterans.  Our host makes sure there is plenty of fish to catch, prizes, food, and fun.  Don Marantz, Event Chairman and Danielle Wyant, Property Manager Cardinale Enterprises created an Eventbrite online registration for the 4th Annual Play HOOK-e Take a Veteran Fishing Day. 2020 Veterans Beach Buggy Permit

  Eligible veterans applying for a NJ Beach Buggy Permit to drive on the beach at Island Beach State Park and Brigantine must provide the following: Form DD 214 Honorable Discharge, Valid NJ Driver License and Registration, Veterans ID Card proof of service-connected disability. 

If you plan to fish on the beach you must register for a Free NJ Saltwater Recreational Registration Card. Register>>  It is suggested new beach drivers take a beach safety driving course. NJBBA offers a beach driving course at: NJBBA Driving>>

Take a Veteran Fishing Day

Our VVA Chapter 12 “Play HOOK-e” from PTSD program is geared towards veterans struggling with PTSD & TBI but other veterans are welcome to attend our events. The goal is to connect veterans to VA Service Offices/Outreach Centers, NJ Coastal Parks, Outdoor Clubs, Veteran Organizations, and help Veteran men and women take time to heal by utilizing eco-therapy activities with other veterans.
